Coutu Bros. Moving & Storage is looking for a dependable, hardworking Driver / Mover to join our growing team.

We are a family-owned moving and storage company that has been serving Rhode Island since 1940. Our reputation has been built on professionalism, hard work, and taking care of our customers and their belongings. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and wants an opportunity to grow with a company that values its employees.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company moving trucks to and from customer locations
• Load and unload household goods, furniture, boxes, and equipment
• Properly pad, wrap, protect, and secure customers' belongings
• Protect floors, walls, doorways, and other areas of customers' homes and businesses
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional truck
• Follow company safety procedures and moving standards
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the move
• Assist crew leaders and other team members to keep jobs running efficiently
• Complete required paperwork accurately
• Perform local, commercial, and occasional long-distance moving work
• Represent Coutu Bros. professionally at all times

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean and responsible driving record
• Experience driving box trucks preferred
• Moving, delivery, furniture, warehouse, construction, or similar physical labor experience is a plus
• Ability to safely lift and carry heavy furniture and household goods
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to work effectively as part of a crew
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Willingness to work varying hours based on the moving schedule
• Must take safety and customer service seriously
